Names, booth numbers, weekends and descriptions as the organizer's 2026 list gives them. Weekend: first = Oct 10-11, second = Oct 17-18, both = both weekends. Shopping categories are this guide's, assigned from each vendor's own description. Source: Georgia Apple Festival (official site): Vendor List, 2026 PDF, checked 2026-10-19
Two weekends of Ellijay crafts making you wonder what living up here is like?
How the vendor list works
- The organizer posts a vendor list on its website each year. It says the list is kept as current as possible but is subject to change. Georgia Apple Festival (official site), Vendor List
- The Gilmer Chamber says the 2026 festival had over 250 vendors offering handmade arts and crafts, along with live music, on-site demonstrations and food. Gilmer County Chamber, Georgia Apple Festival
- Older descriptions give a higher count: the City of Ellijay's 2023 festival page said there were over 300 vendors and exhibitions, from candles, crafts, woodwork, food and art to blacksmith and glass-blowing exhibits. City of Ellijay, Georgia Apple Festival 2023 2nd weekend
Selling at the festival
- Items sold must be handmade, handcrafted or grown by the artist, and the artist must be on site. Resale of wholesale items and multi-level marketing items is not permitted. Georgia Apple Festival (official site), FAQs
- Vendor applications are juried. The FAQ says applications open in January and must be in by March 31 for the first round of jurying, and vendors are notified starting in May. Georgia Apple Festival (official site), FAQs
- The Chamber says vendor applications open each year on January 1 and are due by March 31. Gilmer County Chamber blog, Know Before You Go: Georgia Apple Festival (updated Oct. 7, 2026)
- A single craft booth costs $300 for one weekend or $500 for both weekends, plus a $25 application fee. Concession fees depend on space and power needs. Georgia Apple Festival (official site), FAQs
- Booths are set up outdoors, inside an open pavilion and indoors. Outdoor spaces are 15 by 15 feet, pavilion spaces 12 by 12 and indoor spaces 7 by 10. Georgia Apple Festival (official site), FAQs
Bring cash and a bag
- Some vendors take cards, but many accept only cash, so the Chamber advises bringing cash. ATMs are available at the fairgrounds. Gilmer County Chamber blog, Know Before You Go: Georgia Apple Festival (updated Oct. 7, 2026)
- Some vendors offer bags, but the Chamber suggests bringing your own tote or shopping bag. Gilmer County Chamber blog, Know Before You Go: Georgia Apple Festival (updated Oct. 7, 2026)

What is the Apple Arts Festival?
It is a free sister festival to the Georgia Apple Festival, held in downtown Ellijay on the same weekends. The Gilmer Chamber organizes it, with more than 65 juried vendors of handcrafted and specialty goods, plus food. The Chamber describes it as pet-friendly and accessible, and it is held rain or shine.

Where is the Apple Arts Festival?
The Apple Arts Festival is in downtown Ellijay, in the parking area behind the Downtown Ellijay Welcome Center at 10 Broad Street. That is a separate site from the main festival at the Lions Club Fairgrounds on South Main Street. In 2026 the Chamber also listed a downtown lot on Hipp Street among the main festival's shuttle lots.

What are the Apple Arts Festival hours?
In 2026 the Chamber listed Apple Arts hours of 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays, on Oct. 10-11 and 17-18. Some Chamber pages say it keeps the same times as the main festival, which opens at 9 a.m., so check the current year's schedule before you go.

Is the Apple Arts Festival free?
Yes. Admission to the Apple Arts Festival is free. Its FAQ says free public parking is available throughout downtown Ellijay, though the Chamber's Eventeny listing calls downtown parking limited. The main Georgia Apple Festival at the Lions Club Fairgrounds is a separate event and charges $10 per person.

Can I bring my dog to the Apple Arts Festival?
Yes. The Apple Arts Festival in downtown Ellijay is pet-friendly, and its FAQ welcomes well-behaved, leashed pets. That makes it the choice for dog owners on festival weekends, since pets are not allowed at the main Georgia Apple Festival at the Lions Club Fairgrounds. The Chamber says service dogs are welcome.
